Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your The Gruvs account and its associated data at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

Open The Gruvs and sign in.
Go to Profile → Settings → Security.
Tap Delete account and confirm Delete forever.

Delete without the app

If you can no longer access the app, email asemahlenkwali@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We verify ownership and delete within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your profile, login, username, email and push token.
Your posts, events, reels, stories, comments, reactions, vibes and check-ins.
Your direct messages and any media you uploaded.
Your follows, blocks and other activity records.

What may be retained

We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it (for example fraud-prevention or financial/audit obligations) and content other users created that references you (such as another user's message that mentions you). Retained data is kept only as long as legally necessary, then removed.

Deletion is permanent. Once complete, your account cannot be recovered and you will need to create a new one to use The Gruvs again.
